I bought this vintage plaid on etsy and just had to make a mini dress out of it (even though I’m getting a bit too old to wear something so short, at least not to work). I used New Look 6000 as a base pattern because I wanted a bodice shaped only by darts. I toyed with the ideas of short sleeves, a collar, or pockets, but ended up keeping it as simple as possible. The plaid is loud enough on its own!
